a few BIG FAT LIES we tell ourselves.
Lie 1 "everything would be great if i lost weight/quit my job/got a boyfriend,etc"
No, everything would be just like now, except that you'd weigh less, be unemployed or have someone to watch Lost with - and there's a chance u'd be complaining about something new.
Happiness comes from within, so appreaciate the good things that are in your life now. like ben n jerry's, my quirky family n friends and everything coloured red. lol.
and this gives me another good reason to never ever diet in my life. hee.
Lie 2 "they'll never noe i lied"
Even if u dun get caught and life goes on, it's not quite the same. funny how lying makes u think everyone else is too. so nex time when i say "ur dress is horrid", stop giving mi tt offensive stare and embrace the truth. =D
Lie 3 "Some people are lucky. (im not one of them)"
This lie undermines your power to control your destiny - and to claim credit when good things come ur way. Cos the more you believe in luck, the less u believe in urself.
i kinda dun believe in neither. so how?
Lie4 "i dun need any help"
Denying that you need emotional support may feel like independence, but it's often a lie that protects you from revealing vulnerability. and nothing makes friends faster than vulnerability.

Lie 5 "if i had the time, i'd...write a book/exercise more etc. "
you're busy. im busy. is lack of time a handy excuse for not doing thing u really want to, but deep dwn u're afraid of failing at? Stop talking about it and just do it!

i'll heed this - but i'd probably settle for simpler tasks like "i'll go straight to bed NOW n sleep for 12 hours" or "im gonna eat ice cream forever" and do it.
