being horribly absent-minded, i chose to forget my jeys on the day everyone in the family was coming back after 8pm. so there i was, sitting on a bench at the park just downstairs doing things that many people residing in cities dun have the luxury of time to do - listen, breathe, relax.
i observe the little children playing at the playground. seems so darn long ago since i last saw such genuine and sincere smiles on that of adults.
it was so easy to make friends, no one had hidden agendas for saying hello and allowing you to share his/her toy. and to think simple things like spades, buckets and sand pits were once able to make everyone of us that happy.
parents, mums in particular, were coming home from work and picking up their children on the way back. this made me recall the times i were in preschool when my mumsie would sometimes pick me up after work from the playground with an ice cream cone (lynn jie was always the one who picked me up) and i would be beaming like i was the happiest little 5 year old on earth.
i really lurve how ice cream tasted with wooden spoons and i still do. ^^
so overwhelmed by nostalgia.
