good friday this year...
we have changed in looks obviously, but we're probably still the same old people 4 years ago. yes and we are all still excited to meet and update each other on stuff =)
I prefer stability and permanence, especially when it comes to friendships and relationships. This may probably sound bad to some people, for life is always changing and only with change can we embrace new things.
But why would people want change when their present lives can be satisfying like that? Is a "perfect" life even attainable? Or is the ideal of what u think it can be just a lousy excuse for u to not treasure what u have presently? Are people just having unreasonable expectations of their own lives because they hate their present ones?
I've always thought that your life will only be happy if u make it to be;
ur satisfaction in life may not come from becoming a high achiever but rather from having a big heart for helping others, to others u may seem pathetic, but as long as u are happy, who cares what they think?Should u change just because there are people around you with different expectations of how your life should be? Real friends and people who love and understand u would accept u as who u are and push u to ur limits without attempting to change u completely.
I'd rather be a low achiever than have people dictate how my life should be. Yes in life, changes are inevitable, but they shouldn't affect your principals and how you choose to lead your own life.
Amongst many changes that take place, I'm glad for somethings which don't ever change.
good friday's breakfast at mac's, even a really short one, is always a good time to catch up with your buddies from secondary school.
and in another 4 years from now, we will be cheering to a decade of friendship =)
